Reporting your son/daughter sick

Of course, it can happen that you become ill. As a school, we would like to be informed in time. If you are unable to come to school due to illness, your parents must report this to the attendance coordinator or the reception before 08:10 AM.

This can be done by calling 010-4195772 or 06-25273269.

We kindly ask you to call every day, so that we are kept informed. Is this not possible? Then please make arrangements with the attendance coordinator.

Additional leave

Additional leave can only be requested in very special circumstances, for example for an extra holiday, attending a wedding, or a weekend away. Your parents must apply for this leave eight weeks in advance using the compulsory education forms. These forms are available from the attendance coordinator or the reception.

To the doctor or dentist

If you need to visit the doctor, dentist, orthodontist, or similar during school hours, your parents must officially notify the school by phone. When you leave, report your absence to the attendance coordinator or the reception. As soon as you return, check in again.

Long-term illness

Frequently or long-term ill? If your child happens to be ill for an extended period, we ask you to contact the class teacher or mentor. He or she can then, for example, help think about how we can prevent any learning gaps.

If there is frequent or long-term absenteeism due to illness, we will report this to the Public Health Service (GGD). We will inform you before making this report. A youth nurse will work with you and your child to explore ways to reduce absenteeism. In this way, we work together to ensure that your child’s school career runs smoothly and that obtaining a diploma remains within reach.
