Your school day

Every school day, you start your learning activities at 9:05 AM. The lessons are varied: sometimes you receive explanations, sometimes you work together, or you work independently on the lesson objectives. Lessons last 50 minutes, but occasionally we have special days, such as a study afternoon. On those days, lessons are 40 minutes long.

Once a week, you start at 8:15 AM with coaching. During this time, you discuss your goals for the coming week with your coach and reflect on the goals you worked on the previous week. You look at what went well and what could be improved. Together, you determine your personal learning goals and make agreements about the steps you will take to achieve them.

At Portus Meridiem, you have your own learning goal coach. This is someone who helps and motivates you. Every week, you discuss your goals and how you are going to achieve them with your learning goal coach. This way, you learn how to plan, make choices, and understand how to best achieve your learning goals. Additionally, you learn how to formulate personal learning goals.
